Student Electronic Designs Compete in Altera Cup China

 

 

 

 

Altera Cup China, the 5th Graduate Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Contest, opened in the main building of Tsinghua August 18, drawing 71 teams for competition.

Representatives from electronics giants Altera and Cadence attended the opening ceremony of the event which runs through August 22. Tsinghua Vice President Gong Ke welcomed the guests and delivered a speech. 

 

China’s Graduate EDA Contest is a nationwide event sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and is one of the largest competitions of the kind for graduate students in the country. Each of the participating teams has three members. The entries will be evaluated by experts from China and abroad, and Chinese legal experts and professors from the contest’s supervisory committee will be on hand to oversee the judging.
