The 14th International Symposium on High Voltage Engineering (ISH 2005) opened at the Beijing International Convention Center August 25.
Organized by Tsinghua University, ISH 2005, which runs through August 29, will be a grand event. More than 600 refereed papers have been accepted for the conference proceedings. Five keynote speeches and four invited talks by distinguished figures in the field will be presented at the symposium.
During the conference, participants can attend either the oral or poster sessions to learn about the recent developments and solutions in the field of high voltage engineering. The ten topics cover the areas like emerging HV technologies, transients and EMC, diagnostics and on-line monitoring, high voltage insulation system for AC and DC, expert/decision support systems, aging, space charge and industrial application, etc.
ISH is one of the largest conferences in the field of High Voltage Engineering and has been organized successfully for 13 times. For many years the bi-annual symposium has provided a challenging platform for scientific investigators and in-practice engineers in electrical power industry to learn about the latest advances and possibilities in the field of High Voltage Engineering.
