According to the survey, less than 40% of graduate students participate in physical education, and the growth is slow in recent years. More than 96% of graduate students are willing to exercise, however, they lack physical education courses. Since the establishment of secondary P.E class in the spring semester of 2018, Tsinghua strives to supplement the P.E class resources for postgraduates. In the autumn semester of 2019, there are 41 courses, covering 1023 students.
In the face of the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic and the requirements of the long-term development of the secondary P.E class, Tsinghua launches the secondary P.E class peer coach recruitment plan to recruit peer coaches from all teachers and students in school.

Assignment
Peer coaches will conduct sports lessons on the sports that they are good at for all tsinghua graduate students.
1. Course: Each course has 3-4 classes
2. Class duration: Each class lasts 90 minutes
3. Course size: 20-50 people
The course includes but is not limited to introducing the basic technical movements of the sport in question to the students, leading students to exercise together, sharing sports experience, etc.
During the pandemic, in order to make physical exercises systematic and continuous, the second physical education class will adopt the online teaching method, and the coaches will give live lectures through Tencent meeting and other software platforms. If simple equipment is needed, it can be replaced by common household item. If the equipment is complex or requires special venues, it can be replaced by 1-2 hours of theoretical explanation in online teaching and completed after returning to school.
