?Blue Truck, Yellow Earth created by Tsingying Film Studio to debut in Firenze Archeofilm

A documentary named Blue Truck, Yellow Earth created by Tsingying Film Studio will debut in the 5th Firenze Archeofilm 2023 slated for March. This is one of the excellent documentaries directed by students of the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University, and members of the Tsingying Film Studio, when they conducted field trips in Pengyang county, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region in 2022.

The film festival which selects documentaries globally is sponsored by Archeologia Viva, Italy’s first archaeological journal. Over 70 films and documentaries will be screened this year.

Yaoheyuan relics are located in Xinji township, Pengyang, where a large portion of the Western Zhou Dynasty (c. 11th century-771 BC) site is located. In September 2022, a number of archaeologists arrived at Yaoheyuan. The film documents their excavation and protection of cultural relics under the loess, as well as the reality behind the archaeological work.

Tsingying Film Studio is affiliated with the university’s Center for Film and Television Studies (CFTS). Focused on film and television studies, audio-visual art and industry, the CFTS is one of the national centers that have developed close ties with media and government. It has integrated information science, literature, and audio-visual related subjects in its comprehensive television and film studies.
