Eighty years ago, in order to continue studying and avoid the chaos of wars, there were a walking crew of 300 young students and teachers of Southwest Associated University traveling through three provinces of Hunan, Guizhou and Yunnan, to transfer from Changsha to Kunming. Walking on the journey of more than 1,600km against wind and war, for 68 days, what had these group of young people experienced during those hard times?
Wu Dachang, the only living member of this walking crew, was then a Tsinghua University student. Aged 104, he is now a retired professor from Beijing Institute of Technology. On this year's Youth Day, let's follow our CGTN anchor Kate Kui to hear a special youth story from this centennial old professor.
