The Unveiling Ceremony of Technology Transfer Promotion Centre for Stockholm Convention Implementation (TTPCSCI) was held in SIEEB on Dec 29, which is an important event of the global environment facility project “strengthening institutions, regulations and enforcement capacities for effective and efficient implementation of the national implementation plan (NIP) in China”
Mr. Yu Lifeng, Deputy Director-general of Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environment Protection (FECO), and Ms. Liang Dan, Senior Consultant of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), attended the ceremony and respectively delivered speeches on behalf of the nation of CPCSCI and International executing agency. SOE and CSD (Beijing) Environmental Protection Development Co., Ltd. (CEPD) sponsored the foundation of the center. Yu Gang, Dean of SOE and Xu Guodong, Chairman of CEPD introduced the progress of construction and the future plan of the center.
This center was initiated by CPCSCI in order to select out proper key technologies for controlling the amount of POPs in China, to overcome obstacles in the transfer of technology, to promote the cooperation between both sides of supply and demand and to guarantee realizing National Implementation Project (NIP). SOE and CEPD took responsibility to build this center. It aims to complete more than two successful real cases of the transfer of technology and seek the mechanism of the sustainable transfer of technology.
