Collaborating with Zhang Qiang, Associate Researcher of Center for Earth System Science, THU, and Huo Hong, Associate Researcher of Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, THU, Professor He Kebin co-authored one review paper titled “Cleaning China’s air” in the Nature on April 12.
This paper introduced the latest air quality standards for PM 2.5 issued in China, discussed the possible challenges and global environmental benefits and rendered a few suggestions on policy making. PM2.5 has become a hot issue in the area of atmosphere environmental protection in recent years. Professor Zhang and Professor He did a lot of research on the formation of secondary particles, the source and sink mechanism of global aerosols and the climate and environment-friendly energy development strategies. This paper summarized the initial conclusions on their former studies.
