Clarivate released the 2020 Journal Citation Report (JCR) on June 30, 2021. Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering (FESE), co-sponsored by Tsinghua University, Higher Education Press, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), scored the latest impact factor of 4.357, continuing a steady growth. Falling in Q2, it ranked 86th among 274 journals in Environmental Sciences, and 22nd among 54 journals in Engineering, Environmental.
FESE was launched in 2007. Academician Jiuhui Qu at Tsinghua University and Academician John Crittenden at Georgia Institute of Technology are the current Co-Editors-in-Chief of the journal. The journal focuses on cutting-edge issues and research achievements in the field of environment, aiming to build a high-level academic communication platform with international influence. It has been indexed by SCI, EI, INSPEC, EMBiology, SCOPUS, and CSCD, and is a key journal in the "Excellence Action Plan for China Scientific Journals".
