On April 14, Elsevier officially released the list of 2021 Elsevier “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”. Ten professors from the School of Environment (SOE), Tsinghua University, namely Deng Shubo, Hao Jiming, He Kebin, Huang Xia, Li Jinhui, Li Junhua, Liu Huijuan, Qu Jiuhui, Wang Shuxiao, and Yu Gang (in alphabetical order by name), were included in the subject list of Environmental Science and Engineering.
The 2021 Elsevier “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list uses Scopus, a global authoritative citation and indexing database, as the statistical source, and uses the selection method designed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy to analyze the research achievements of Chinese scholars. A total of 4,701 scholars from 523 universities, enterprises and research institutions were listed, among which 222 are from Tsinghua University. The listed scholars cover 10 SCADC subject areas and 84 SCADC subjects, and 125 scholars were selected in the subject list of Environmental Science and Engineering.
This is the eighth time that Elsevier has released the list of “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” since 2015, which has received great attention from many media and scholars at home and abroad.
