Journal of Frontiers of Environmental Science and Engineering (FESE) held its annual editorial-board meeting in the School of Environment, Tsinghua University on Aug 30th. Over 30 editorial board members from Tsinghua University, Dalian University of Technology, Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, Beijing University of Technology, Xi’an High-Tech Institute , Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of CAS, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of CAS, University of Science and Technology of China, Nankai University, Nanjing University, Tongji University, and East China University of Technology attended the meeting in person or via online meeting. Heads of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Higher Education Press, and School of Environment of Tsinghua University also attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by academician Jiuhui Qu, Editor-in-Chief of FESE.
Jiuhui Qu made welcome remarks . Yi Liu, Dean of the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, Yanfu Li, Deputy Director of Natural Science and Engineering Technology Academic Journal Center of Higher Education Press, and Haiying Tang, Director of Department One of CAE expressed their concern and long-term support on FESE on behalf of their institutions. Xia Huang, Executive Associate Editor-in-Chief of FESE, reviewed the work and achievements in the previous year, and pointed out the current demands and opportunities, and proposed working plans in the next year. The editorial board members afterwards made discussions and suggestions on quality control and impact enhancement of the journal. Jiuhui Qu summarized the suggestions and opinions with applicable plans and long-term visions of the journal.
Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering, FESE, is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal jointly sponsored by Higher Education Press, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Tsinghua University, and co-published by Springer. It aims to advance and disseminate knowledge in a wide range of environmental disciplines, and to promote the interchange of ideas between environmental scientists and engineers in China and around the world. The latest impact of FESE is 4.357, ranked in Q2 according to Journal Citation Report by Clarivate.
